Redemption Grace Period (RGP) is the period of time for a domain name to be reinstated after it has expired and has not been renewed within the stipulated time. This period usually lasts 30 days and gives the domain owner a last chance to reinstate it before it is released and available for registration by other users.
Key features of the Redemption period:
Domain is deactivated – During this period, the domain is inactive (the website and emails associated with it also stop working).
Service with a reinstatement fee – In order to reinstate the domain, the owner must pay an additional fee, which is higher than the standard renewal fee.
Next stage – deletion – If the domain is not reinstated within this period, it enters the "Pending Delete" phase, after which it is released and becomes available for other users.
This period was created to protect domain owners who accidentally forgot to renew their domain name.
For the .COM, .NET, .ORG, INFO and .BIZ domains – 84.00 USD
For the .EU domain – 48.00 USD
Fees are paid in Bulgarian leva (BGN) at the selling rate of the US dollar, which is current on the date of payment. The fee for the selected TLDs includes a 12-month domain renewal. However, for some regional TLDs, the renewal fee is paid separately.
Grace Period: Immediately after a domain expires, it enters a period (usually about 30 days) in which the owner can still renew it without additional fees. During this period, the domain stops functioning, but can still be restored by paying the standard renewal fee. If the domain is not renewed on time, advertisements, often competitive, are displayed when accessing the site instead of the standard content. This can lead to the domain and its associated website falling out of search engine results, sometimes just two days after its expiration.
Names with extensions: .com, .info, .org, .net, .biz, etc. A verification email is sent when a domain name is transferred, contact details are changed (Whois information), or a new registration is made.
The details subject to verification are: email address, first and last name. The email has the subject line: “IMPORTANT! Verify your contact information for” and is sent by the Registrar.
Verification is done by clicking a link sent to the email address provided by the client during registration for contact with the Registrant.
The verification deadline is 15 days. After this period, the service is restricted by the Registrar ResellerClub. To restore it, the email must be verified.
These requirements are set by ICANN, the organization responsible for coordinating the system for assigning names and numbers on the internet, including domain names and their IP addresses.
A service that hides the personal data of the domain owner in the public Whois database, providing alternative contact information. This helps protect against spam, unwanted calls and potential misuse of personal information.
Privacy Protection is available for a number of popular domain extensions, including: .com, .net, .org, .info, .biz, .co, .me, .io, .store
However, there are also domains that do not allow Privacy Protection. For example:
.eu - for domains registered in the European Union, the personal information of the owners is mandatory published.
.us - performs an individual verification of personal information
The price for enabling the id protection option is 15 BGN including VAT.
